What is Tretinoin and hydroquinone chest cream?
Sun damage, dark spots and fine lines on the chest. Made with tretinoin 0.01%, hydroquinone 7%, niacinamide 3% and hyaluronic acid 0.5%.
At Pharmacy on the Park, Tretinoin and hydroquinone chest cream is compounded in our pharmacy from a prescription, in the strength and form your prescriber orders.
How does it work?
Tretinoin speeds skin cell turnover, hydroquinone blocks tyrosinase (the enzyme that makes skin pigment), niacinamide reduces pigment transfer and supports the skin barrier, and hyaluronic acid holds moisture.
What is it used for?
Sun damage, dark spots and fine lines on the chest. Made with tretinoin 0.01%, hydroquinone 7%, niacinamide 3% and hyaluronic acid 0.5%. Your prescriber determines the use, dose and monitoring.
How is it used?
- Cream. Creams are applied to the area your prescriber directs. Metered dispensers such as Topi-CLICK® deliver the same amount each time. Wash your hands after applying.
Follow the directions on your label. The strength, amount and schedule are set by your prescriber.
Side effects and safety
Commonly reported: Dryness, peeling, irritation and sun sensitivity. Call your prescriber or us about any reaction that concerns you.
Who should use caution?
Pregnancy. Long-term continuous hydroquinone use, which can darken skin. Use sunscreen daily. Share your full medical history and medication list with your prescriber.
How should it be stored?
Always follow the storage directions and beyond-use date on your label, and keep medications out of reach of children and pets.
Why is it compounded?
This combination isn’t sold as a single commercial product. Compounding lets us put the ingredients together in one preparation, in the exact strengths and ratio your prescriber orders, so there are fewer separate medications to take or apply.
This preparation can include: Tretinoin, Hydroquinone, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic acid. Your prescriber chooses which ingredients and how much of each.
